Michael de Vihil, Psy.D.

Senior Partner

Dr. Michael de Vihil is a Senior Partner at Bandelli & Associates. Michael has 18 years of leadership development, talent management, and executive coaching experience. Michael helps executives become better leaders. Michael collaborates with leaders to enhance how they are contributing to the business strategy; improving high-performing teams; co-creating a culture of psychological safety; and getting coached to ensure that their core values are congruent with how they are showing up.

Michael is a seasoned leadership development professional with deep experience in sectors such as finance, healthcare, pharamceuticals, consumer products, luxury retail, technology, and non-profits. Michael infuses his practice with gathering critical data, assessing needs, and then using that data to inform clients at all levels. Michael takes a bespoke approach as leaders are humans and as such they require slightly different approaches – agility is key and Michael navigates well in ambiguity. Michael provides the necessary conditions for leaders to thrive and grow: (1) insight and awareness building; (2) motivation to get the time and energy; (3) capabilities and skills; (4) real world practice on the job; and (5) accountability to help keep them honest along the way. He was invited by Korn Ferry to be part of their internal LGBTQ Thinktank as well as one of their internal Mentoring Program and has a passion for helping underrepresented groups with his experience in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity space.

Michael’s DNA is one of a licensed clinical psychologist and as such he understands that people come first, making the authentic connection is critical, and how the science of human behavior matters so much in helping leaders grow, cultivate trust with others, and lean into the business thesis so that their enterprise’s vision can be realized now and into the future. Michael is a certified coach from the Executive Coach Academy in NYC. He earned his Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS); a Masters Degree in Psychology from CIIS; and a Bachelors Degree in International Business & Marketing from NYU Stern School of Business. He truly gets the intersection of business and psychology. He is a member of the International Coach Federation, the American Psychological Association, the Society for Industrial Organizational Psychology, and the Consulting Psychology Division of the APA. He has lived in Sweden, Japan, and France and is moderately fluent in French.
